Elevator Pitch Competition

Deric competed in the Uintah Basin's Elevator Pitch Competition for Utah State. We went to Vernal to compete and really, he went in with the idea of getting extra credit and MAYBE coming out with a little extra cash. (Winnings were cash prizes). We fully didn't expect him to take FIRST! :) Yep, he took first in the competition in the Uintah Basin which left him not only with extra credit, but $700 cash, a weekend at the University's expense to compete in the competition in Logan where he would automatically be placed in the top 13. So luckily for us, a few weeks later, we left the boys with Deric's parents and Angela, my cousin during the day, and we headed for a weekend in Logan. It was SO fun to be able to spend so much time with my husband with no kids! AND... let's be honest... I LOVE business stuff, so I really enjoyed going to the lectures and stuff. I didn't get many pictures, but it sure was fun! Deric did great in the competition in Logan even if he didn't win! (okay.. so this picture is nast... sorry)
