Ring update...

Deric called the store manager and she basically told him that it's our fault and they're not going to do anything about it. So he gets to wait for a call from the regional manager now.... blah! Come on people-you can FEEL the crack in my ring!!!

Oh how I love thee...

Oh I love thee... oh chi, oh chi. :) That's right-I LOVE MY CHI STRAIGHTENER!!!! Well, Deric got me one a year and a half ago in pink (which I LOVE) and Kyler decided to throw it on the ground last week-breaking it. I was super sad! I couldn't get to work to save my life! At first, if I held the cord, just right, it would work but that only lasted a day. And since i just barely chopped my hair off, really a straightener is a MUST! So I was debating what to do because these straighteners aren't just some cheap brand you can buy at Wally-Word. No siree'! These are AMAZING ones! A tool that cuts my hair styling time in like fifths! haha What takes me 10 minutes tops to do with this straightener would take me at least 30 minutes to do with a cheap one. Anyway.... I was debating what to do and looking online. I found some that were on sale for super cheap but didn't know what to do. Then, Deric surprised me today with bringing me one home. :) AND i found out that if you buy a Chi online, it voids the one year warranty! I never knew that! Well.. I'm off to hair-styling heaven! :)

Ring Anxiety

I have to vent some frustration about the wonderful jewelry company of Zales and their amazing ability to screw up my wedding ring. When Deric and I went looking for rings, I thought I wanted one style and ended up designing a ring that is completely different than I ever thought I would get-actually the completely opposite of what I wanted. I guess I can't really say I designed it, but I did what no one had done at their store before. Anyway, I have a 3 stone ring with little ribbing on the sides of the stones. I added a plain band to the top and bottom of the ring to make it as a whole a wider banded ring. I LOVE my ring. The only reason we bought it from Zales was because they were the only store that had the ring with the ribbing on the sides and it totally makes a difference to me. This picture of a ring, isn't my ring and it doesn't do my ring justice, but it's the closest I could find. :) So here's where my frustration lies. Deric bought this ring with a pretty penny (aren't all rings that way?) I expected it to have it my entire life. We got the lifetime warranty to secure that and all was good. Well more like 8 months out of the last year, I have been without my wedding ring.

One day we were turning into the mall parking lot and I was looking at it, thinking my center diamond looked cracked. I asked Deric what he thought and he said the same thing, so we took it into Zales (which we had just gone 8 weeks without it for the yearly re-dipping and had just gotten it back). They informed us that it's a crack under the surface but that we need to send it in to get the diamond replaced. They said it would take about 8 weeks and that they would call us when it gets in. 9 weeks later, I call... no freakin answer. I call about a dozen times and FINALLY around 12 weeks, they answer, informing me that it's been in for 3 weeks and have been waiting for us to come pick it up. I ask why they never called like they said they would and get really no answer. So someone in our family goes and picks it up (not me or Deric) and when I get it back to Roosevelt, I look and low and behold-my diamond is STILL cracked. I immediately call Zales, asking for an explanation. They said they don't know, according to the paperwork, the diamond WAS replaced. They are going to look into it and call me back. Low and behold-guess who never called back? That's right-Zales. So I keep pestering and pestering and never got any response, then life got busy and I forgot.

Well guess what happened last month when we went to get it cleaned for it's regular checkup? That's right, the saleslady said the ring was cracked and the diamond would need to be replaced. So we did this whole thing ALL over again. Then... when Deric went to pick it up on Friday, the diamond is still cracked. The saleslady said he would have to come back the next day and speak to the manager after he explained all this. well.. guess what lady? We live freakin 2 1/2 hours away! It's not like it doesn't cost us anything to go out there! So... to finish a long story on a short note-Deric is calling the manger today-insisting SOMETHING be done. This is pretty ridiculous to me! I'm pretty sure if they'll give us our money back, we're getting a different ring elsewhere. Who knows-we will see what happens.

Have you ever...

....been SO sore you can't move? not could possibly move, not it hurts to move, but literally CANNOT move? Well, I am! Seriously, it's about killing me to type this!!! Well.. here's the wonderful reason why. and I say wonderful in the literal sense, not sarcastic, but WONDERFUL. I LOVE THIS REASON! :) yep, you guessed it! The BEST sport there is to watch AND play! It can be played indoors, outdoors, on the side of building (well... sorta), in sand, on a floor, basically anywhere! You can play by yourself, with a friend, with many friends, or whomever you choose-maybe even a bum off the street! Anyway, the point is, I LOVE volleyball! I finally got to play competively this weekend which it has been TOO long since I've done it. I played in a tournament in Vernal this weekend and had a BLAST! We played for about 5 hours on Friday night and from 6 in the morning to 8:30 at night on Saturday. We got to play alot! (which was good) But man oh man am I sore! Deric keeps making fun of me too! Guess i'll have to let it slide since I always make fun of him when he can't walk or winces with every step. :) My arms are seriously bruised that Deric is making me wear long sleeves shirts even though it's beautiful weather. Ok so that parts not entiredly true, but he wants me to! lol anyway, I had a blast, I love the game of volleyball and I hope I'll be playing more soon!

Grateful

I realize that most of my posts as of late have been all about me complaining and being depressed. Well... now I'm going to focus on being grateful. I'm grateful for:

* First and foremost, my Savior

* Deric-the sweetheart that he is. i love it when he humors me, tickle fights, staying up late watching Avonlea and eating ice cream, laughing so hard my guts hurt and having races to bed.

*Kyler-he is such a sweetie-he must learn from his dad! I love it when he has to have me kiss it better whenever he gets hurt, his growing voacabulary and when he runs up to me and hugs my leg to give me loves.

*Waking up and realizing your dream was just that-a dream

*The new friends I have started to associate with-I don't feel like such an alien in Roosevelt anymore

*my newfound addiction of Avonlea-such a good series!

*insurance

*and many many more things!

Depressed

Do you ever feel just down? Down on yourself, down on life, down on everything? That's totally how I feel right now. I just feel tired, depressed and want to do absolutely nothing, have no contact with anyone (especially pregnant women) and just be lazy. I hate it! I need suggestions-anything?!?!
