SHeDAISY - Don't Worry Bout A Thing - Official Video

Don't you love it when....

....you find a song that totally fits your life/mood/feelings at the moment? I LOVE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS! It seems to express what you want to say, but can't fit the words together quite right. Well last night, as I was showering, the perfect song for me, right now came on. It's "Don't Worry 'Bout a Thing" by SHeDAISY. I don't think I posted it right, but a music video of the song should be available on my blog. If not-look it up-it's great!

Parker

Well....sad to say, I have officially forgotten that I now have a camera that works... hence I forgot about it and didn't take pictures on our trip to Parker, Colorado this weekend. We went to visit my sister Shelly and her family. We had SO much fun! Shelly's neighborhood is known for having AMAZING yard sales and I mean AMAZING. Nothing in Utah has ever really compared! :) So we left after Deric got off work on Thursday (poor guy-he woke up at 3 that morning) and headed on the 6 hour drive. Three words to describe the portable DVD player we bought: Totally Worth It! Kyler thought it was SO COOL to be able to watch a movie in the truck! We got there around midnight after having to stop and let Kyler (and Deric) rest for a while. Friday morning started early with Deric watching the kids and Shelly and I heading out to yard sales! Then we just hung out the rest of the day, going shopping and to my nephew's baseball game. Saturday morning started even earlier with MORE yard sales! :) I WAS IN HEAVEN! I got some AMAZING things at even more AMAZING prices! I had no problem spending my allowance Deric gave me and I completely filled up our truck-inside and out! Kyler got spoiled-of course and I found a bunch of baby stuff for my sister in law. See this is why yard sales out there are so good: people generally only have 1 or 2 kids and then they sale their stuff dirt cheap just to get rid of it. Not to make money like a lot of people in Utah do. So it's pretty sweet! I got me a double jogging stroller which I'm STOKED about and a few other things. We watched another one of my nephew's games and then we headed to the pool! Kyler LOVED it and had lots of fun playing with Bryton (my neice) although we had to leave early due to thunder. But overall, we had a lot of fun and it was fun to have Kyler be a little older so he could interact with his cousins better! We came home Sunday and were glad to be home. There is something special about coming home. Its fun to be away-but so nice to walk through the door of your home-especially when it's clean! :) Here's to hoping more trips are to come!

BATH TIME!

Kyler has a girlfriend. Her name is Koriann. He wants to play with her EVERY SINGLE DAY! haha it's actually quite funny. He begs me for her SO much it actually gets annoying. Anyway.... Zeke came over to help Deric on a cinderblock fence we are building for our neighbor and it was getting late, so Hillary and I decided to put the two of them in the tub together and lets just say... they had a BLAST and made a BIG MESS! :) But it was fun, so well worth the cleanup! Just a note about their "relationship" they have it down! haha Koriann feeds Kyler and Kyler looks after Koriann no matter where she is at, he is constantly wondering how she is doing. They also have their little "spats" like all couples which is quite funny but they quickly make up. haha haha They are too cute!

4th of July continued...

I said in my previous post that I didn't have pictures of the rodeo or fireworks from the 4th but then I found some! :) So here they are! They aren't the best, but oh well.

I think we had more fun playing with Kyler before the fireworks than anything else. haha Deric caught some pretty funny faces!

Growing, growing, and GROWING!

As previously mentioned-our grass grows ALOT which is good but it sucks to mow that many times a week but Deric is pretty good at it :) Therefore I let him do it! It seriously grows like 6 inches every day!

Playing in the backyard

We have LOVED having a backyard this summer! We have worked really hard on it and getting the grass nice and lush so we can play on it. Although Deric hates that he has to mow it like 3 times a week (no joke!) it REALLY grows that much! Kyler loves playing out there as well, especially on his slide which we stole from Deric's parent's house. They never used it and now it gets used everyday! :) Kyler even has to give his favorite blanket a ride on the slide!

4th of July (yes it's late)

I must say, I was a bit disappointed by the 4th of July celebrations in Roosevelt. Growing up in Fillmore, it's always a big deal and my familyALWAYS celebrated it. Well... it's not a big deal out here since they have their UBIC celebration at the end of the month. But we went to a parade in Neola and sat by our friends Zeke and Hillary and their little girl Koriann (which is totally Kyler's girlfriend) haha it was fun to watch them run for the candy but of course they wanted to eat it right then and there. Then we went to a rodeo (I didn't get pictures) and to be honest-it was really lame. We attempted to go watch fireworks at night but they only lasted like maybe 5 minutes. I was SO disappointed! I told Deric from now on... we are definitely going to Fillmore!
Oh... I almost forgot-the highlight of the whole thing, was waiting for the parade to start. Deric and Zeke took the kids by a little river that was behind us to throw rocks into and the kids thought it was AMAZING. haha Kyler has quite an arm if I do say so myself. He threw the rocks almost across the entire thing!

Lately...

So I am FINALLY getting to upload pictures from our new camera-wahoo! haha these are just a few I took while trying it out. First of is of Kyler's "fake cry" haha Then my son is such a TV junkie sometimes. Especially when I was sick. Isn't that horrible? Then of course, smiling like always and up to mischief with Uncle Garth.

Seriously!?

Okay....can I just post a SUPER BIG annoyance that I have? I'm still pretty ticked at the moment about it and it's not even that big of a deal-it just really annoys me and I'll blame it on the pregnancy hormones! :) anyway... I went for a walk with my friend Hillary (like I do most days) and after we had split and Kyler and I were walking home, I got whistled at. These guys in an oilfield truck, going through the McDonald's drive thru were whistling and making obscene comments to me. I HATE THAT! I mean-come on-I'm pushing a kid in a stroller and I'm PREGNANT! (you can tell it now, at least I think so, I don't look just fat anymore) I just hate that-what happened to manners?! Anyway, I know it's really not that big of deal but it really annoys the crap out of me.

Pictures of our boy

Here are the pictures from our ultrasound yesterday. They are scanned in so they aren't the best, but oh well. The first one, you can really see our little guy's head and his facial features. The second one is kinda the same thing and the third one is the one that proves he's a boy. :) Hope you enjoy!

Boys, boys, and boys!

Well... today our regular checkup went great! We weren't expecting to find out what we were having and I guess technically it's not "official". But my doctor does an ultrasound every time I go in (which I LOVE) and it's kinda cool to see your baby progress each month. Anyway...today he said, "let's see if we can tell what the gender is". I thought it was too early since I'm only 16 1/2 weeks along. But sure enough-it was clear as day-we are having another BOY! I guess it's pretty easy to tell that part! He pointed out all the "boy parts" and said our little man is very tall for his age :) SURPRISE! He's a WINTERTON! haha The doctor said he was 99.9% positive we would be welcoming another baby boy into our family this upcoming December. Deric and I couldn't be happier. Now Kyler will have a buddy close in age to play with! I wont have to buy more clothes (although I probably will anyway) because they are the same season. So maybe it's too early to be announcing our bundle of blue-but I figured it was a pretty safe bet! If not, I'll announce our bundle of pink coming when I have the "official" ultrasound in August! Pictures soon to follow....
