Happy for Bedtime!

I love these two! :)

Biter

Bryson is teething... the other night while getting ready to say prayers, we realized he has been chewing on the bottom of Kyler's bed.... ALOT. guess his teeth hurt! Mind you, Deric just refinished this bed recently.. he was not so happy!

Church Family History Museum

Along with our Salt Lake trip, my mom wanted to go to a Book of Mormon exhibit at the Church Family History Museum... I'm not going to lie, at first I was a bit hesitant.. .I thought it would be pretty boring, but boy was I wrong! It was AWESOME! My boys LOVED it and Deric and I even had fun too! We only got to spend 2 hours there and it wasn't enough time at all! They had so many fun themed activities.

Temple Square

I always love to see the lights at Temple Square this time of year, unfortunately we weren't going to make it... but then we got a call from my madre... she wanted to treat me and my siblings to a night in Salt Lake. So my parents bought us all hotel rooms and we made the trip! We were just a few blocks away from the temple so we headed there. It was so beautiful and reminded me what the Christmas season is all about. It was so much fun to spend some time with my family! I sure do love them and miss them alot! :) Thanks Mom and Dad!

Heber Train

This year, the boys and I were able to go on the Heber Valley Train ride, I think it was the "Polar Express". Bryson and I weren't supposed to go (tickets were pricey) but Deric's family ended up with an extra one and I'm really glad. It was a lot of fun! Chaotic but fun :) We have a lot of family on Deric's side. Kyler loved to sit with grandma and grandpa and Naomi's boys helped me with Bryson. There were elves on the train and we got served hot chocolate and cookies and Santa even paid a visit! Kyler was REALLY glad cause he hadn't seen Santa this year yet and was worried about not getting the train set he wanted. lol

Family Movie Night

We love to have family movie nights at our house... it is so fun with the boys! We pop popcorn and choose a favorite movie! The boys decided to share the child's chair together.. it was super cute! :)

Biggest Idol

Kyler has someone he ALWAYS talks about and ALWAYS wants him to be at our house. When he is here, he wants to play and work with him constantly and I'm ok with that. He is a great guy for my son to idolize... that person is..... Deric's brother, Jason. We sure do love you! Here are some pictures of Kyler wearing Jason's hat... he loved it and informed me he "wants one of his own. Just like Jason's"

My baby turned 1 on December 13th! I can't believe how big he is getting. His personality is really starting to shine through... this was demonstrated at his party. He didn't get near as messy as Kyler did on his first birthday and when we were singing happy birthday, he just kept looking around at everyone wondering what was going on. It was great! He had some help from Kyler opening his present and he LOVES having his own pots and pans :) He is such a happy child. We sure do love him!

Bryson-this is for you buddy. December 13, 2010: I went in for my regular doctor's appointment around 9:30. I had had contractions, but figured they were Braxton Hicks since they had been apparent in your pregnancy since week 20. I dropped Kyler off at Angela's and assured her I would be back. She thought otherwise and boy was she right! After having 2 major contractions in front of Dr. Williams, he said, "well, let's have this baby today. I think you're ready". I was ready-sorta. I had ONE last final(the biggest one) scheduled for the following day and didn't know if I wanted to worry about making it up, but, buddy, you had other plans.

So I checked in to the labor and delivery and they monitored me for a bit. Around noon, theys suggested I go walk around the halls for an hour or so because I wasn't progressing. Dad came and walked with me and helped keep me company. When we got back, the walking had done the trick! Once the doctor broke my water, you were for sure on your way. Too bad the epidural doctor (anestisaologist sp?) didnt' realize how important it was for mom to be numb. After multiple stabs with the needle, it still didn't work, but you were well on your way! FINALLY they decided to give me a spinal tap and within 30 seconds, Dr. Williams was rushing the other doctor out, I was whipped around on the table and within a matter of minutes, you were born. Beautiful and healthy at 8 lbs 1 oz 19 1/2 inches long and almost 2 weeks early. Your original due date was December 24th, but we were glad you came a little bit early!

We were so excited to have you here! Kyler wasn't quite so sure, in fact, he didn't know what to think at first. The first time he met you he said, "send him back. I dont want him." But he didn't understand at that time what great friends you were going to become. He didn't realize he would have a partner in crime and a friend that's always willing to play. Now you two are inseperable and you take care of each other. He gives you drinks out of his sippy cup and sings you to sleep at night and in return, you welcome him with a giant grin, so happy to see him.

We love you Bryson and are so grateful you are in our family. You are a joy to me, your dad and your brother. We love you so much! Happy birthday sweetheart! :)

Best buds

I love that my boys love to play together. Here is just one of the ways they play together on almost a daily basis.... Kyler loves to push Bryson around in the hamper and of course, Bryson loves it even more! :) Notice the massive amount of slobber on Bryson's shirt... thank you teething molars-it is because of you that I have to wash like 3 outfits a day!

Kyler Birthday

Kyler turned 3 on November 15. I can't believe how big my 3 year old is getting! Here are some things about him at this age:

-fully potty trained (even at night)

-LOVES to sing and dance

-still learning to share with his brother :)

-Absolutely loves preschool

-Can count to 5 in Spanish (funny story)

-invites himself to other's houses i.e. "Rylin, can I come to your house? I'm sure my mommy wants to come to"

-really learning his ABC's and the sounds each letter makes.

-I'm sure there are alot more, but I'm claiming the sick card at the moment....

We had a party with Deric's family on Sunday and then a friend party on Wednesday. Let's just say, 3 is a little young for that! haha Everyone told me to count on 1/2 of the kids I invited come, instead, ALL but one came and even some added ones! I was SO grateful for my friend, Hillary, for watching Bryson for me and Lindsay for helping maintain the chaos :) I definitely learned my lesson there! But.. Kyler had a blast and that's what's important, right? We sure do love you Kyler! Garth made this cool "Cars" cake. Kyler and Bryson are demonstrating the more fun use of the bean bag toss I made. haha And he LOVES his new laptop that he got for his birthday. Now he can be "just like dad". I love it!
