Kangaroo Zoo

Ok so I can't remember exactly when we went to Kangaroo Zoo in the city, but it was a while ago. haha that's how good I am at blogging. My boys LOVED it although it was hard to chase all the kiddos around with just me and my sister-in-law Shelby. I think Deric was at sales meetings or something. Kyler had a blast once he figured out not to be scared and Bryson started liking it more and more. Although I will say one thing.. I thought Jumpin and Jivin out here in the Basin was expensive... holy crap, not even close compared to the bouncy houses out in the city-even WITH a coupon! But the boys had fun so it was worth it!

This month has brought back alot of memories, both good and bad, but we're going to focus on the good! :) 5 years ago this is what my month consisted of...started off with some "madly in love" pictures at the Manti Temple...and spending every possible waking moment together. Literally. Since we lived hours apart, we spent ever moment we could get together-well, together!
Followed by Deric asking my Dad for my hand in marriage over Labor Day weekend... no pictures of that... good thing too! It was a rough experience for the both of us! haha but makes for a great story later on.

Then we got "officially engaged"....complete with homemade ring made out of beads.. yes I still have it!

Late in the month, we took engagements...

And that completed our September in 2007. What a great and monumental month it was for our future family! :) haha just a side note... look how young we look, especially Deric. Although I still claim him to be the sexiest man alive to this day!

Inspirational thoughts

One of my most cherished and looked up to friends, Bliss Darling, posted on her facebook page the other day how she receives such great fulfillment in being a mom and keeping a clean house, etc. Not gonna lie, her post REALLY made me think and evaluate my own life. (see previous post-I have been struggling). Since being put on bedrest I have thought even more about this because I'm not able to cloud my life with all the errands, activities, etc. Bliss has always held the ability to uplift and have a positive attitude, something I have always envied of her (yes horrible I know) but I seriously have looked up to her since I met her back in 2006. Anyway, as I got thinking about my life, I realized I was looking about it all the wrong way.

I have had to learn to value being a mother due to multiple miscarriages, pregnancy complications, etc. I honestly believe that without all these I would have a harder time appreciating the ability to carry a baby and raise children.

Being able to stay home truly is a blessing. Having satisfaction in keeping a clean house is something I truly cherish at the moment because I don't have the ability to really clean. But oh isn't it so nice when you walk in the door and the house is clean? Or you wake up in the morning and realize your dishes are done? Seriously, think about that for a second.

Anyway, to put it shortly, thanks Bliss for having such a positive attitude and making me see the light! :)

Update

Well I'm sorry to say that I will probably not post pictures with this post... again... my bad. But I feel I need to at least update my blog which I felt would be a lot easier now that I'm done with school... boy was i wrong! Life hasn't been crazier or busier ever! (at least that's how I'm feeling)

Recent happenings:

-Started a Bunco group... LOVE it! Now that I got the ball rolling, hopefully not much more work for me

-Went camping in Strawberry, had an OK time but not great, I'm not allowed to ride 4-wheelers (dr's orders) and that's all anybody ever wanted to do. Plus I seriously felt like I played babysitter most of the time. (which is exactly what I DIDN'T want to do) Oh well... there is always next year. Plus I had major cramping and spotting on said trip which resulted in...

-being put on moderate bedrest. Moderate meaning as much bedrest as I can with 2 kiddos. Ah! Laugh! It's impossible!

-Deric is gone even more now than he ever was before which means I'm basically a single mom

-Kyler started preschool which he LOVES and mom loves equally as much! :)

-Found out we are FOR SURE having another testosterone driven boy added to our family in the future. He was very open and proud about his gender and he is already very stubborn and wiggly.

-Deric also felt the baby move for the first time in which he was SO excited. I couldn't help but laugh.

-Bought new baby a new carseat.. who knew you could buy them super cheap from the Health Department?

-Have had absolutely NO luck with a name... we don't like anything we come up with! Send ideas please!!

-realized my boys are going to be daredevils and adrenaline junkies.

-Got called to help with Enrichment Committee.. not so sure about this one yet

-Have the "crafty" bug but can't decide which project to start it all!

-Personally REALLY struggling with being a stay at home mom. I do love it, but on the same note am struggling really bad. Any suggestions there? I feel like I'm super stressed and depressed all the time.

Ok so I guess nothing too terribly new, but it is something. I promise pictures next time! :)
